Glory Seed Devotionals, 2016: Year of More Light and Truth

Revealing More Light and Truth…

“I will send you the Helper from the Father; he is the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father. When he comes, he will tell about me, and you also must tell people about me, because you have been with me from the beginning.” (John 15:26–27, NCV)

On the day of Pentecost Jesus’ promise to send the “Helper” was fulfilled. The Helper, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Light and Truth is alive, well, and at work in your life.

“I have many more things to say to you, but they are too much for you now. But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words, but he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is to come. The Spirit of truth will bring glory to me, because he will take what I have to say and tell it to you.” (John 16:12–14, NCV)

Jesus wanted to give his disciples more Light and Truth but he knew because of his impending death they would be in no shape to remember or comprehend what he wanted them to know. However, because we know Jesus’ death was only temporary we do not have the same problem as the Eleven did.

“I have many more things to say to you,” the Spirit says to each of us. Our responsibility in the revelation process is to open ourselves up to the Light and Truth what the Holy Spirit wants to reveal us. The words you read in these Glory Seed Devotionals come out of my own experience with life, the world, the bible, my relationship with Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. They are only words, the real message, the real revelation occurs in you as a result of your interaction with the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit wants to introduce you to more Light and Truth it may be through a Glory Seed Devotional, through reading the bible or another book, through a picture, through a something you see such as a sunset or a sunrise. Yesterday I wrote about never putting limits on God, each of us need to build our lives on that. NEVER put limits on the Holy Spirit’s ability to communicate to us more Light and Truth. NEVER!

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might!

Grace and PEACE, Amen!

Gary

  1. Yes I think we are Ll guilty at some time of putting God in a box – but He is truly limitless and we have to be open to all possibilities – including the ones which are like the thorn in the flesh of Paul – especially if it brings us closer to Him
