Glory Seed Devotionals, 2016: Expedition of Light and Truth

You are Blest…

If you believe in Jesus then you are among the world’s most blest people! “Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you see me. Those who believe without seeing me will be truly blessed.”” (John 20:29, NCV) It is the blessings of Jesus that will turn dark into light, adversity and hardship into blessings, conflict into peace, a weakness into strength, pain into comfort, brokenness into wholeness.

Yesterday I saw my pulmonary doctor he asked about my recent heart catheterization in which revealed I have 3 arteries 100% blocked. The 3 arteries that are block were ones that were grafted in 2013. We were told nothing could be done about them and we were told bypass surgery was not an option. Both Patti and I were disappointed with that news. However, the pulmonary doctor told us with the damage to my lungs from the pulmonary fibrosis the surgery would have killed me. “If anyone tries brings up any chest surgery of any kind tell them NO! Once they open up your chest you’ll not recover and be on a ventilator the rest of your life,” he told us.

If the cardiac doctors had suggested heart surgery again I would have said, “Let’s do it.” However, the outcome would not have had a happy ending instead because the arteries cannot be fixed Jesus turned his Light on a disappointing situation and I wound up with a life saving blessing. If I had my way I would have ZERO arteries blocked, in fact I’ve prayed for a miraculous healing but the fact that it has not happened in spite of my prayers and the prayers of others the Light is saying, “My presence in your life is sufficient for you.”

My friends, if you believe in Jesus you have all the blessings you will EVER need! There maybe times of enduring adversities and hardships but there’ll also be times of sunshine and warm breezes. There maybe be times of weakness but you’ll always have strength to keep pushing on. There may be times when you need to work things out seemingly alone but you’re never alone, NEVER!

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might!

Grace and PEACE, Amen!
