Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh…

Holy Week Day One…

We are people of the Resurrection!

I want to begin Holy Week with the end/beginning. “Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Interlude” (Psalm 32:1–4, NLT)

For Christians like you and I Resurrection Sunday is the prophetic end of our life! When I think about the Easter season from the beginning to Lent to Jesus’ Ascension I hope the day will come when I will completely understand the repercussions and impact on my life in the here and now. Eugene Peterson in his bible translation The Message gives us a foundation to Jesus’ Resurrection upon which we can begin to build the remainder of our lives upon. ““You don’t have to wait for the End. I am, right now, Resurrection and Life. The one who believes in me, even though he or she dies, will live.” (John 11:25, The Message)

My favorite line? “You don’t have to wait for the End.” Do we realize the full impact of what Eugene Peterson John were actually saying? First and foremost we are alive in Jesus. And because are alive in Jesus the Divine Blood of the Lamb is flowing through us. I am sure you are fully aware of the importance of the blood flowing into every part of our bodies but in case you need a reminder. “Blood is a body fluid in humans that delivers necessary substances such as nutrients and oxygen to the cells and transports metabolic waste products away from those same cells.” (Wikipedia)

The Divine Blood of the Lamb also carries throughout our bodies antibodies that are hard at work healing and sustaining our physical bodies and also contain spiritual anti-aging properties that go with us into the future and eternity. Sometimes it’s hard for me to grasp the concept that I am living the Jesus life now because I am fully aware of my human imperfections. I have difficulty in seeing myself as a poster child for Jesus. Yet out of a dark, damp, and cold tomb God levels the “playing field” of my imperfections making me One with Jesus.

And the Good News is there are a whole lot of us One’s in Jesus, including YOU! “Then I let it all out;I said, “I’ll make a clean breast of my failures to God.”Suddenly the pressure was gone—my guilt dissolved,my sin disappeared.” (Psalm 32:5, The Message)

My friend, it doesn’t get any better than that!

“Faith isn’t hoping for the best life has to offer, Faith is anchoring oneself to the Best God has to offer!”

Grace and PEACE,
